What is this???

Nanotechnology:

Nanotechnology is the engineering of functional systems at the molecular scale. This covers both current work and concepts that are more advanced. (http://crnano.org/benefits.htm). Besides, there have a lot of advantages can we obtain from nanotechnology.

1.      Advanced nanotech can solve many human problems.
2.      Many diverse problems are related to water.
3.      Cheap greenhouses can save water, land, and food.
4.      Nanotech makes solar energy feasible.
5.      Living spaces can be greatly improved.
6.      Computers will be cheap enough for everyone.
7.      Nanotech can help the environment.

The advantages of nanotechnology were really help users not only in one element but it is covered major of element.

Grid computing:

Grid computing is a service for sharing computer power and data storage capacity over the Internet. Grid computing uses the Internet to help us share computer power, while the Web uses the Internet to help us share information. There have information regarding this services in http://www.gridcafe.org/grid-in-30-sec.html.

Grid computing is making big contributions to scientific research, helping scientists around the world to analyze and store massive amounts of data.
In grid computing reality, there are already hundreds of grids around the world, each one created to help a specific group of researchers, or a particular group of users. And across the world, researchers and software engineers are working to bring “the Grid” closer to achieving the dream.

 Quantum Computing:
Quantum computing relies on quantum physics by taking advantage of certain quantum physics properties of atoms or nuclei that allow them to work together as quantum bits, or qubits, to be the computer’s processor and memory.
A quantum computer can do an arbitrary reversible classical computation on all the numbers simultaneously, which a binary system cannot do, and also has some ability to produce interference between various different numbers.
Quantum computing is not well suited for tasks such as word processing and email, but it is ideal for tasks such as cryptography and modelling and indexing very large databases. To get more detailed please refer to http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/Q/quantum_computing.html.

Semantic Web:

The Semantic Web is the extension of the World Wide Web that enables people to share content beyond the boundaries of applications and websites. It has been described in rather different ways: as a utopic vision, as a web of data, or merely as a natural paradigm shift in our daily use of the Web. Most of all, the Semantic Web has inspired and engaged many people to create innovative semantic technologies and applications. This info take from

How do you respond to these statements?

For CEOs and their organizations, avoiding complexity is not an option — the choice comes in how they respond to it. Will they allow complexity to become a stifling force that slows responsiveness, overwhelms employees and customers, or threatens profits?
-          2010 IBM Global CEO Study

For me, CEOs and their organizations need to be avoid. Yes, I agreed with the statement ‘the choice comes in how they responds to it. When they had faced complexity so, their quality of work decrease suddenly. Why? This all happen when some employees feel they always be forced with many thing and this could disturb their time. Furthermore, complexity is something difficult to describe because complexity in IT can make users or employees will have hard decision making when dealing something. For my opinion just avoid it and find another solution so that employees can be enjoy in their working. In addition, we have option in order to avoid complexity from getting worse, and can make employees easily handle their job.

Example of good user centered design in an application/web system and identify its features.

User centered design where make users issues central in design process by carrying out early testing and evaluation with users and the design takes place iteratively. It’s mean that user centered design is mean that considering product to the user or in other way, user centered design is design to make users could easily handle all the applications or the products. Smart phone for example, it is not only for texting and calling someone but it’s also was design to be multifunction in order to make users satisfied and suitable with environment. Smart phone now also were design to help users complete their task or become reminder and to share anything with other user. Moreover, the function of smart phone now already upgrade to become like laptop so, users do not have to worry to bring heavy laptop everywhere and just using phone to complete every task. It easy right?
